The earliest Marks that we can trace, for now, with 100% certainty is John Marks 1754 - 1817.
A summary of his period as an Excise Officer from 1777 - 1817 can be found in the Stories section titled EXCISE MAN.
We have used Charles Marks & Emily Maria Veale, our Grandparents, as the start points for our research and shown here are 11 of their 13 children who survived infancy along with their respective partners and the grandchildren.
